Lacey showing off her trout. She was the first to reel one in. Can you tell they are not a bit squeemish about the blood and slimy fish.
Emery tired to take the hook out herself. Wow!
Mason is so cute. Second fish going in the bag.
Dead fish, going home for lunch. Jeff fried them up and the kids ater them happily. It was a fun event for the kids, and great for them to have some success fishing and get them excited about more fishing that I am sure will happen this summer.

Kids Fishing Day!
This was the "coolest " thing ever! The city puts on this "Fishing Kids" day at one of the parks (Sarge Hubbord) here in town. It's only $5 a kid and they get a free fishing pole, a t-shirt, catch some fish plus they make the kids go through all of fishing etiquette. It was my kind of fishing. All of the pole's were set up with bobbers and hooks and they had lots of volunteers to give out worms and help gut, wrap up, and take home fish. We had 30 minutes to catch our limit of two fish per kid (which was plenty of time). They had stocked the pond the day before the event with 5000 rainbows. Needless to say that Jeff could not keep the hooks baited and out in the water fast enough before we had a bite on someone's pole.
Daddy showing Mason how its done. "Poor wormy it's not your lucky day, says Mason."

Home is where you can be silent and still be heard. Where you can ask and find out who you are. Where people laugh with you about your self. Where sorrow is divided and joys multiplied. Where we share in love and grow..
