Mason's Mowhawk

Mason has wanted a mowhawk all summer, so I finally gave in and did it. You only get to be a kid once right. I am sure this will give the Mom's at church somthing to talk about. The only thing is that Mason is so blonde that you don't really notice it. I am even thinking about spraying it jet black or purple to remedy the problem. Jeff and I decided that he is such a cute kid no matter what we do to him. (we are largely biased!) This is mason's tough face. With dimples it is hard to look tough.

4th of July

We had a wonderful time celebrating the Fourth of July this year. This is the first year that we have let the kids stay up late enough to watch some fireworks. They of corse Loved it! we had a B-BQ with smoked ribs and all kinds of salads and dips. (YUM) I Love the summertime! All of the kids got to help with the firework smakes that grow. The wind was blowing so all helped to shield the growing, messy, smelly creatures. Good eats! the corner of the deck was a perfect seat for Lilly, she actually stayed there and ate too. I was shocked. Ready for the show! First time experience with the sparklers. They were very careful to hold it right on the very end.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

House progression

Jeff has been working like a Mad Dog on the house. We have siding on roof and doors and windows. I love the front door I am so excited to get some paint on it. The front porch is also in and I can't wait to sit out and enjoy the breeze. Time is flying we are hoping to have it completed by the end of August. We have all of the "guts" to put in- so it will probably be Sept. I can't wait!

LILLY

I wanted to put together a slideshow of Lilly's first year, so I did, but I can't figure out how to get it into the actual post section so this is how I did it. We have been so busy that we really haven't made her birthday official (sad I know). Her presents are still wrapped and sitting on my dresser. We will celebrate, with cake etc. on her due date, but for now- I have an overview of our sweet Lilly and her fist year on earth. We have enjoyed every single minute of her. She is... A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above, a handful of happiness, a heart full of love. Time flies so fast that we can hardly keep up, but we have cherished every moment of her little life. God lent us an angel, a gift from heaven above.
Home is where you can be silent and still be heard. Where you can ask and find out who you are. Where people laugh with you about your self. Where sorrow is divided and joys multiplied. Where we share in love and grow..
